How to Clean Your GPU Drivers and Install the Latest Drivers: A Step-by-Step Guide

Here’s a comprehensive guide to using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to remove the default Windows GPU drivers and install the latest AMD ,NVIDIA or Intel drivers. Step 1: Gather Your Tools

  1. Download DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller): Head to the official website and download the latest version.

  1. Download Latest Drivers: Get the latest drivers from AMD’s or NVIDIA’s or Intel's official website.


Step 2: Disconnect from the Internet (Optional Go to Step 4 if Unsure)

Step 5: Install New Drivers


  1. Run Driver Installer:

    • For AMD, use the installer or the AMD Auto-Detect and Install tool.

    • For NVIDIA, launch the installer and follow the instructions.

    • For Intel use the Installer and follow the instructions


Step 6: Reconnect to the Internet (Optional Continuation from Step 2)

  1. Re-enable your network connection to allow any additional software updates.


Step 7: Confirm Installation

  1. Open Control Panel:

    • Check the AMD, NVIDIA or Intel control panel to verify successful installation.

  2. Adjust Display Settings: Ensure your resolution and refresh rate are set correctly.
